BOOK LAUNCH - HELP FOR HEROES & ARMY BENEVOLENT FUND
Book Launch 'Extravaganza':

On Saturday, 27th March 2010, at an 'Extravaganza' Evening, including Dinner & a Concert, Rotarian David Hughes and The Rotary Club of Cheser-le-Street, launched David's latest book 'My Son The Enemy' , a novel, a work of fiction based on his Army experiences at the end of WW2.

All profit from the 'Extravaganza' and the world-wide book sales will go jointly to support the charities 'Help for Heroes' and the 'Army Benevolent Fund'.

Update: From book sales £13,000.00 was raised. At a Presentation Luncheon on Friday, 25th June 2010, attended by a number of Rotarians, wives and friends, cheques for the sum of £6.500 each was presented by Sir Paul Nicholson, Lord Lieutenant for County Durham, to Representatives of 'Help for Heroes' and the 'Army Benevolent Fund' respectively. A very good result and many thanks to everyone who has helped to make this charitable project a success by purchasing a copy of the book 'My Son The Enemy'.

This project is running down so....... anyone who would like to buy one of the few remaining copies of the book can do so at the reduced price of £5 by clicking on the links below:
